Praise is a response to the righteousness of God. Many people or things may receive our accolades and our attention, but only God is worthy to receive our praise. Our praise of God is inspired, invoked by the “right”ness of God. It is God’s righteousness that gives us reason to praise. We can give our praise to many unworthy things that give us no reason to praise them.

Is He In You?
Is He in You–the Creator of heaven and earth?
Is He in You–the One who gives your life worth?
Is He in You–the One who suffered for your sin?
Is He in You–the One who died and rose again?

He gives strength to the powerless and light so you can see
He brings hope to your hopelessness, His love will set you free
