TREASURE OR TRASH…
…WHAT’S IN YOUR HEART?

II Chronicles 16:9 says, “For the eyes of the Lord move to and fro throughout the earth that He may strongly support those whose heart is completely His.” Picture that for a minute. God is searching throughout the whole earth, looking for people He can support—not just casually, but strongly support. And the criterion for that support is a heart that’s completely His. The question that comes to my mind when I read this is: “If He’s looking for people whose hearts are completely His, how will He find my heart? Am I someone He can strongly support?” Today I want you to ask yourself that question. What I’m asking you to begin to do today to think of your heart as a treasure box, and I want you to open it and let the Master Appraiser reach in and take out one item at a time and declare each one treasure or trash. Then with God’s help get rid of the trash and prize the treasure. To help us understand how to do that, we’re going to look at four areas: the heart described, the heart diagnosed, the heart decorated, and the heart developed. So let’s look at what we’re talking about when we talk about the “heart.
